Samyang Manual Focus Adapter for Cine V-AF Lenses

I purchased the manual focus adapter along with a kit of V-AF lenses back in 2023 and now, as of 2026, the focus controller is completely compromised after very minimal use. From the time of purchase until the break, I only used the adapter approximately 5 times on some very small projects, only two of them involved a motorized focus puller. I had the nucleus nano II motor on it and as I was performing an auto calibration, the motor pulled the focus past the infinity mark (mind you, this was literally on the lowest torque setting) and completely offset the physical ring. Now, the ring has a grinding resistance to it and the lens/camera doesn't recognize when the focus is changing at all. Mind you, this may be user error, however I would expect a unit designed to work with standard (in this case pro-sumer level) motors to survive at least past the third time it's used. Because of this unit failing, the value of the rest of the lens kit has greatly reduced for me. In short, this until is not durable enough to survive past some of the most fundamental uses. On a lighter note, prior to the break the unit was great, doing exactly what it's suppose to do with a somewhat confusing lens software interface. B&H has been extremely helpful through the process while I was attempting to diagnose the problem with the unit. As of writing this review, I am still waiting from Samyang/Rokinon for a reply for possible trouble shoots or repair opportunities.
