I own several lavalier mics, Sony ECM90, DPA, Shure TwinPlex and others. This one is by far the clearest and the best of them all.

simply amazing

This is an amazing lavalier and by far the smallest and best sounding one of them all! If you are even considering acquiring this mic then think no long, you will never regret buying it. Now on to the meat and potatoes of this review. It is extremely small and very easy to hide under shirts and if the need arises then you could even put it in your talents hair! If you do not need the small size or are mostly buying the mic for the audio quality then it does not get any better than this one right here. The mic picks up on the rich deep tones that most other mics will not pick up. The MKE1 is the most natural sounding lavalier mic that I have ever used or owned and I have owned and used most all of them on the market at one point in time!

Is the cable microphonic? I'm used to the DPA lavs where you can run your fingers up and down the cable and can't hear it. Does this mic exhibit the same quality?

Will it work with Rode Wireless ME/GO? Specifically, the voltage requirements and the 3.5mm locking connector compatibility.
Asked by: Abel
The Sennheiser MKE1 Professional Lavalier Microphone requires 4.5 to 15V. We would not recommend using this microphone with the RODE Wireless ME or the Wireless GO and Wireless GO II Compact Digital Wireless Microphone Systems because the transmitters have non-locking inputs so the mic would not be securely connected and most high-end lavalier microphones do not function properly when used with either of these wireless systems. The Sennheiser MKE series mics work much better with wireless transmitters such as the Sennheiser SK 500 G4 and SK 100 G4. From our testing, the microphones that work best with the RODE ME, GO, and GO II Wireless Microphone Systems are the RODE Lavalier II Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (B&H # ROLAVALIERII), the Saramonic DK3G Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (B&H # SADK3G), the Shure MOTIV MVL Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (B&H # SHMVL35MM), and the Saramonic SR-M1 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (B&H # SASRM1).

question

Any tips on storing the MKE1. Because the wire is so thin it can easily get tangled up while storing, even when you are careful. Anyone have best practices they can share for storing?
Asked by: Jason
Wrap the cable like you would a mic cable, over/under.
